Common mistakes when selling

Selling is a collaborative process; you need to work closely with your agent and listen to their advice. For example, they can be invaluable when it comes to knowing how much your home is worth. Setting the asking price too high can lead to a lack of interest in your property and put buyers off. It’s one of the most common reasons for homes not selling.

However, don’t make the mistake of only getting one valuation from an agent, or just going with the first one. Always get multiple! In fact, says Liana, statistically, the second agent you find is more likely to sell your home. Some agents will pitch the valuation high just to win your business – something to be aware of.
